Labels to Look For

In a logo-saturated world labels lose their substance. Just about everything on the grocery store shelf boasts a natural nametag, claiming to be pesticide free, antibiotic free and free range. Keep in mind these classifications lack clarity and are developed without industry input. Here are three labels with integrity to look for before you add that item to your cart: [gallery link="file"] USDA Organic: The U.S. Department of Agriculture sets the standards for the label, guarantying that food is produced without synthetic growth hormones, GMOs, antibiotics, chemical fertilizers or man-made chemical pesticides.
